A little surprise :)

Today was such a fun, wonderful day. I LOVE thanksgiving and it was great being with all of the family. We do not always get to see everyone this time of year, but since everyone is here for the wedding tomorrow, we were all able to spend the day together. Not only was the food fantastic, but it was a huge reminder of how God has blessed us with a big, loving, Christian family. So thankful for all of them :)

After stuffing ourselves, we went for a walk. It is not unusual for us to do this when we all get together, but when we got back to the house-Surprise!-a baby shower for Kai! Usually, I figure these things out before they happen, but I was genuinely surprised and not expecting anything especially with how busy it has been lately. Kai got so many beautiful gifts from my family. She is going to be one well dressed little girl. The only problem now is figuring out what to pack for the trip. We had a pretty cake, favors with cute little Christmas ornaments that say her name on them, and sooooo many gifts. It was so fun and I was so surprised! It definitely got me even more ready (if that is even possible) to go to Uganda and meet my little girl.

Tomorrow should be a fun, busy day with the wedding. I cannot believe Taylor is getting married. I am so happy for Molly and him and looking forward to celebrating tomorrow. I just hope my two little guys do a great job walking down the aisle, and don’t flip out too much when they find out that, not only do they have to wear a shirt with a collar, but a tie too! Should be interesting, but somehow I think they will be cute no matter what happens :)

Love my new blog :)

So, Jayson set this up for me, which is really nice since I am not the most computer savvy. I pretty much type and look at pictures and that is the extent of my technology. So, I am very excited to have a nice blog, especially since I spend a lot of my time enjoying other people’s and mine (the old one) was pretty pathetic. We are very excited that in about a week from now we will be leaving for Uganda. Although, I’m not gonna lie, I am VERY nervous and traveling and leaving my two precious boys behind. We have received some newer pics from the family who is in Uganda right now and who shares the same court date with us. We are looking forward to getting to know this family and the two precious children they are adopting. We should get to know them well in Uganda and have so much in common! I already feel like I know them and we have only communicated a little bit through emails. Tomorrow is the rehearsal dinner, then Thanksgiving day, then the wedding, weekend, packing time, and travel time. Unbelievable! Will definitely keep updating this, especially once in Uganda.

Happy Birthday

This blog was made for my wife, who has the biggest heart of anyone I know. Her mission in life is to help the helpless and I thankfully get to come along.   I’ve had this blog personalized with a custom logo and header.  Good things should follow!   Happy Birthday.

Love, Jayson.
