My little Graduate

I cannot believe that Jayce is officially done with VPK and will be in Kindergarten in just a few months!!! I am excited for him because I know that he will do awesome but am a little sad at how fast he is growing up.  We had our graduation program last night and it was so great.  The teachers do an AMAZING job with these kids (I think I can say that since I am no longer one of the VPK teachers :) ) They were so cute singing, dancing, and marching!!! Many of the kids have been at Guardian Angel since they were babies.  So crazy that they are heading off to “big school”!  Some pictures of my little graduate and from the program “Kruisin to Kindergarten”.

Jayce and Aunt Liz (who was his amazing teacher this year!)

The kids were so cute dressed as little sailors :)

Look at that BIG smile!

We had 43 of the cutest little graduates!

I have a bunch of other cute pictures but don’t have the time to put them on here :( I will be putting them on facebook sometime soon!  And my next post will reveal something new about Kai-you don’t want to miss it!!!!

Cool t-shirt and help spread the love in Africa!

Go here and buy a really cool shirt.  By doing this, you are helping Andrea get to Africa where she can love and serve the people there (specifically the orphans and widows.)  Don’t miss out on an opportunity to get involved :)

Prayer moves mountains!!!!

So excited to learn that little Kirill will be going home.  We were praying and hoping for this outcome and it is amazing to see how God worked.  So happy for this family.  Catch up more on their story here.

Hair and Ice cream

Thankfully this is not a post about hair in ice cream…because that would just be gross! But it is a post about a few of the things I have done recently with Kai’s hair (don’t get too excited, nothing that impressive) and some cute pics of the kids eating ice cream.

Kai does NOT like having her hair done. Period.  Whether it is just me trying to put leave in conditioner or hair butter/oil in it or whether I am trying to put puffs, twists or attempting braids, she immediately starts squirming and jerking her head all over.  She also likes to put her head on pillows or in blankets to avoid me.  I have to remind myself she is not even one yet (or at least not much older than one) and it should get better.  Plus, she still does not have a ton of hair yet.  She has way more hair than she had in December, but some parts are still almost bald-like the back where she sleeps on it.  Hopefully as it evens out and grows in and as she gets older, I will be able to do more with it.  But for now, I am happy with any style I manage to put it in.

I know, I know…she is adorable!!!! Her hair may need work, but I think she looks cute with it ANY way :)  So, on to some pics of the kids enjoying their ice cream tonight after dinner.  They loved it, and they made a huge mess too!!!

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful day and enjoyed your families :)  My kids were so very cute this morning giving me their gifts, which my very sweet husband bought and I LOVE!  But the best part of being a mom is not getting presents on Mother’s Day but getting hugs, kisses and love from my sweet ones everyday!  I love these three kids so much-even when they drive me crazy!

If you want to get involved, it is time to make headbands again!  Check out My Crazy Adoption and find out how you too can help make sweet little girls in Uganda look and feel beautiful…you still have a few weeks so get out your glue guns!!!

Kai modeling a few of the headbands we made.

Beckhem, Jayce and Kai with our donation…hope some little ones will enjoy these :)

This Wednesday we got to welcome home another sweet angel from Uganda.  I LOVE going to the airport to support families when they arrive home and it was so nice to finally see sweet Rissa in person.  She is just precious and we are so happy for the Downes Family.  It was kind of late when they arrived, so I just went and Jayson watched our kids at home.  (Besides 2.5 hours in the car is not usually their favorite thing to do :)  This little girl is the last one that we were waiting for in our original group of families and kids, but there will definitely be more in the future (new families adopting and existing families adopting again…can’t wait to see who’s next :)

We enjoyed disney yesterday (one of the advantages of living in Florida and having seasonal passes.)  Kai is not so sure about the rides or characters yet, but Beckhem was in heaven and Jayce had a blast on all the rides.

Have a SWEET week!!!!

Fun with friends!

We were so excited to have our friends over tonight with their two new additions from Uganda.  They have been home a week and are doing really well.  The girls are beautiful and it was so much fun for all of our kids to play and interact (between our two families there are 7 kiddos, three from Uganda.)  Jayce and Beckhem LOVED having them over and were fighting over holding the girls.  We decided to try and take some pics in their adorable outfits from Uganda, which is NOT an easy task with so many little ones :)

Aren’t these three just stunning???? I think so :)

Lillian, 4 mths, and SOOO sweet

Kai, my sweet one, now 11 mths!!!!

Mercy, 14 mths, such a cutie!

The boys kept fighting over Mercy.

We love these little girls and are so happy they are home :)
