Happy Birthday Beckhem!!!
Today my little guy is THREE! I cannot even believe it. He may be small, but he has a ton of personality. He is friendly, silly, cuddly, and a riot. Seriously, he cracks. me. up. He is a definite momma’s boy, which is fine by me. He loves the color orange, chocolate milk, mickey mouse, dogs and running around the house pushing a shopping cart, stroller, or anything he can find. Happy 3rd Birthday Beckhem!!!!! We love you so much
We had a birthday party yesterday and he LOVED opening all of his presents.
Trying to get the hang of holding up three fingers…
Happy Birthday, little man. We are so blessed to have you in our family. We love you!!!
Super cuteness and a post that makes my heart happy :)
First off, a few pics of some super cuteness…
And, not too long ago, I posted about a sweet boy who needed a family. Well, now he has one, and I am SOOO happy for all of them. Check it out, here!
HHI with the Harveys
So, we finally have our internet and cable back
which means I was able to finally put my pics on the computer and now on my blog. HHI has been the vacation of choice in my family since before I was born. We LOVE it there! It is a great place for families and there are so many fun things to do. It is great taking my kids there now and doing things that I loved doing when I was little, and thankfully we aren’t too far away now so we are able to go more often. Here are a few of my favorite pics from our trip…
Celebrating his 3rd bday with the Harveys with an orange cake and orange candles (can you guess his favorite color???)
I wish I had more patience to upload the rest of my pics. I have so many great ones, especially of the kids, but this has taken WAY too much of my time. I will be adding the rest on facebook soon, though
Happy Father’s Day!!!!
Happy Father’s Day to my amazing husband! He is a great dad to three beautiful kiddos. He loves wrestling with the kids and getting them all wound up but he also loves kisses and hugs too. Kai especially has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger, and I can see why after all the sweet, slobbery kisses she was giving him today on the way out of church. It is amazing to think that this time last year we did not even know about our sweet daughter, but now she is home and loved, adored, and as happy as can be. We are so blessed to have her and my kids are so blessed to have a great dad.
I am also so thankful that I have a great dad who has always been there for me and has been very supportive of my family. He loves his grandkids a TON and is such a huge help with them. Not many people would be comfortable leaving their three small kids with their dad, but I have no problem doing this because he is GREAT with them. My kids LOVE their Papa Scott. I also have a great dad-in-law. Even though we do not live close to my in laws now (we used to), we get to see them often. We are so thankful that they make an effort to come visit us as much as possible. We just spent 5 days with them in HHI and had a blast! The kids truly love Papa Jay too!!! It is great to have family that love, support, and help out. I do not know what we would do without them.
Our internet (and cable and microwave…) are all not working. There apparently was a big storm while we were away this last week. So, I cannot put up any pics from our trip, but hopefully that will be fixed soon so I can do that this week. Hope everyone has a great Father’s Day and a wonderful week
Ugandan family reunion and Siesta Key Beach
Last weekend was awesome! We went to Bradenton/Sarasota area for a get together with all of the families that have adopted from Uganda. Eight families, 10 children from Uganda, and other families who are considering adopting from Uganda or are in the waiting stage now and this time next year will have their little ones home. It is great to have a community like this and it was so much fun getting together with other families that not only look a little bit like ours but have a heart for orphans and Uganda. I should have taken more pictures, but I was busy meeting some new friends and catching up.
After our fun time visiting, we headed over to a hotel in Sarasota and spent time at Siesta Key Beach. We weren’t up for the 2.5 hour drive just yet and decided to make it a two day adventure
Don’t forget to vote tomorrow for Project Hopeful. Find out details here!
Kai’s 1st Birthday Party!
On Memorial Day we had Kai’s first birthday party EVER! We had some family and friends over (to my parents house so we could have a pool
) It was fun to celebrate Kai!!! It’s been six months ago this week that we first met our precious little girl. She has grown so much since then and has adjusted to being a Harvey and to America so well! She is a silly, happy, active, beautiful, fun little girl, and we could not be happier that we get to be her parents!
Papa and Bibby with the Birthday Girl
Kai loved her stroller and baby doll from Grandpa Bobby.
Beckhem helping cook the hot dogs.
Mercy and Juliet aka “the twins”
Kai enjoying playing with her friends in the blow-up-water-slide-thingy.
Papa Jay and Mama with the birthday girl.
Blowing out her candle (with a little help from Beckhem and Jackson)
Kai used her fork for a while…
Then she decided to use some vegetables instead…
Why not eat cake with a radish?
Jayce and Sam had fun playing together.
Kai loved this little baby she got that lights up and plays music. She would push the button and then hold it and dance back and forth. So cute!!!!
Kai wasn’t really into opening the presents, but there were a lot of other “helpers” so it was okay
Kai and Beckhem playing in her new kitchen!
Trying out her new shopping cart.
Kai got so many nice presents. We are so thankful for great family and friends. Looking forward to lots and lots of fun birthday celebrations with our princess in the future!
So, what’s new with Kai?
In my last post, I mentioned that Kai has something new going on…any guesses????
