Kai’s 1st Gotcha Day!!!!
A whole year flew by and on December 4th, 2011 we were able to celebrate the day Kai joined our family!!!! So fun being all together this time of year and giving thanks for the blessings we have. Last year, everything was crazy right before Christmas (hey, we were in Africa for an undetermined amount of time), but this year we are all home. So much to be thankful for; so many reasons to celebrate. We had a great night with family enjoying some Ugandan food (yup, chapati and all!) The only negative: the boys not understanding why Kai had a few gifts and they didn’t. 
Kai’s 1st Thanksgiving and 1st trip to NJ!
We had such a great Thanksgiving this year visiting family in NJ and celebrating the fact that Kai is home and a part of our family. Last year, we were planning to leave for Uganda a few days after the holiday and were so nervous. We had no idea how long we’d be gone, how Kai would like us, how we would handle being away from our boys, and how we would do for an unknown amount of time in a third world country. Little did we know, that the trip would be miraculously quick and we would be home in time for Christmas, the boys would do great, we would LOVE Uganda and Kai would adjust amazingly well to her new family. SO, SO, SO much to be thankful for. Looking forward to what 2012 holds for our family (and I am assuming something big since we tend to have something happen every two years-2004-married, 2006-Jayce is born, 2008-Beckhem is born, 2010-Kai is born and joins our family, 2012-?????)
